HOW WE MET**
We met in 2008 during my freshman year at Utah Valley University. . .
I played volleyball with his sister Faith and we were also roomies! Landen came over to the Apartment and that is the first time we met and he always likes to joke that when he first saw me he thought I was a Hot Brazilian & when he came to find that I was Tongan instead he was disappointed!! hahahah! He even remembers what I was wearing. . . red shorts, white shirt, and my hair was long black and straight!!And . . . the rest is all HISTORY!! =)
We dated for 3 years and on May 1st 2010 Landen proposed to me on Hermosa Beach right by the water!! I remember our friend Reid was falling behind and I kept telling Landen we should wait for him I don't want him to walk alone. . .
(but what I didn't realize was that Reid was going to film while landen got down on his knee) and when I was turned around towards reid watching him walk very slowly towards us I turned around and Landen was down on the sand on one knee with a BEAUTIFUL princess cut engagement ring!!! =)
We were married a few months later on December 18, 2010!! I can't believe its almost been a year!!

Melissa Lia**
I was born and raised in Utah.I played volleyball all throughout high school and college. I'm half Tongan and white. I have two older sisters and a younger brother, a brother-in-law and 2 beautiful nieces and a nephew! I went to school to become a teacher like my grandma and have most of my pre-reqs done before I enter into a program but before I go down that path I decided to take a MUCH NEEDED break after I got married & plan to re-enter soon.I love hanging out and laughing with my family they have been by my side every step of the way. My sisters are my best friends. We have all been through so much these past couple of years and in a way we have all strengthened each other and it's been amazing to all learn and take something from their experiences! Yes, we fight/bicker/and annoy each other but what NORMAL sisters dont?! I wouldn't have it any other way!! =)
Landen Laulii**
He grew up in California played beach volleyball everyday all day!! There is seriously nothing he cant do except for maybe *pick me up like Kris Humphries picks up Kim Kardashian* Bwhahahah But I am working on it!! He loves to play the guitar and sing! He thinks he could play any sport in the world and be GREAT. . . (sigh).Anyways, he is very hardworking, QUICK to forgive, Loving, Thoughtful, smart, and most importantly he loves me for who I am and "attempts" to make me a better person! =)
We have been married for ALMOST a year now!!
Past
After we were married we spent the entire summer in Hermosa Beach, California (volleyball city)! We had the most amazing time playing volleyball, swimming, relaxing, and (on my part) laying out!!! Basically, we were BEACH BUMS & I loved every min of it!! It was incredible to see where my hubby grew up. I met so many incredible people there and had so many amazing opportunities like: playing beach volleyball right next to the beautiful ocean, working on a commercial set with Minnie Driver for my friend Xanna Waugh who is an amazing person inside and out, talented, beautiful, and is soo sweet and is a commercial producer she does it all!! 
Present
**There's no place like home**Landen and I are currently in good old UTAH spending the holidays with our crazy families!!! Im not going to lie I miss the beach bum lifestyle but it sure does feel GOOOOOD to be home!! We are currently both working in the Restaurant industry as servers. I am a lovely waitress at Red Lobster and Landen will be serving at Cpk!! We are truly blessed to have gotten jobs right away especially during the crazy holiday season AND . . . work is LESS than 5 min away!! It is a BEAUTIFUL thing! We are truly GRATEFUL!!
Future
Our goal is to save enough money this winter so that come March 2012 we can move toSUNNY CALIFORNIA and have enough money saved to COVER rent for the ENTIRE summer!! We did it last summer but we didn't have our own place to call HOME. . . so this summer our goal is to get a small place and have everything covered!! ( wish us luck) ;)
We are lucky enough to have jobs ALREADY waiting for us there so we can have what I like to call
*pocket n play* money all SUMMER LOOONG!!
Landen will be working on Hermosa Pier at a delicious Brazilian restaurant called Silvio's. He worked there last summer and Silvio the owner loves him so he made landen promise that he would come back and work!!
I'm really lucky that Red Lobster is going to transfer me to another RedLob in Cali!!!
